Imagine
Oblivious to our miniscule sand-grain of a planet, bathing in the vastness of the deep black sanctity of space, might exist an aberration of a race- a race so advanced that technology to them might be an affair of antiquity. The earth is probably just a fabricated, synthetic reality, forced into the minds of the captured life-forms on the mother planet, coercing them into virtually existing on the blue planet. We might just be the fragments of one dream. All life on earth might be the dream of one life form on the mother-planet. Likewise, other planets in the various solar systems across the boundless extents of outer space might be figments of imagination of another captured life form on the mother planet. For all we know, the universe doesn’t exist at all. It might on its own be something of the order of a computer program designed to make believe.
The idea is simple, yet complex. Imagine us being the supreme beings, conjuring a system that is able to fabricate an entire universe in the mind of a human- a universe that is so close to actual existence that it might seem impossible to believe. Entangled in the webs of imagination, creating and inventing in his mind, the human under observation conjures his own universe in his mind, and dreams. He dreams and dreams, as the universe in his mind expands to create galaxies, stars and solar systems. Entire planets are formed in his imaginations, and life erupts like tiny little bubbles in a bath tub.
We might be just that - A bubble of someone else’s imagination. The unimaginably prodigious knowledge possessed by the superior being that has imagined our existence might just be the creator of the apocalypse, as the subject under observation wakes up to his reality. All this that goes on, might just be a one night’s dream, belonging to a young life form, on the stupefyingly gargantuan planet of the creators and we live, oblivious to and ostracized from the reality.
Life might just not be what it is perceived to be, being what is perpetually, though insignificantly, ignored and regarded as that which is given to be taken for granted. As we stand here, on the Blue Planet, marveling the mysteries of the unexplained that lay far away in the enigmatic inscrutability of the enormous cosmos, we fail to realize the first limitless aspect of life, that aspect which is the only one that truly has no limits of any nature, the aspect of Imagination.
